"Hamilton" Star and J-Lo Create a Song for Orlando Victims
In the wake of the Orlando shooting at the Pulse nightclub, celebrities and artists have come out in droves to offer support and charity for the city of Orlando and the families of the victims. In addition, the day after the incident took place, the Tony Awards and their attendees and nominees paid homage to the victims through interviews and speeches on-stage. Fresh off his win for Best Original Score, Lin-Manuel Miranda strode up on stage and delivered a memorable sonnet dedicated to the victims.
This past week, it was revealed that Miranda has teamed up with Jennifer Lopez to collaborate on a new song titled “Love Make the World Go Round.” All the proceeds made through this song will be donated to the Hispanic Federation’s Proyecto Somos Orlando, to benefit the victims of the Orlando mass shooting.
Miranda posted this video on his Twitter, showing just a few snippets of the rocking song that is sure to hit the top of the charts once it’s released. You can hear his ultimate rapping skills, alongside the melody of J-Lo.
Here at Lion Bold, we want to encourage our fans to spread the love of music, including songs such as these that can bring joy and donations to the ones who need it most. As always, our hearts go out to the Orlando shooting victims and their families.
