Biography
CATIE + KEVIN is an alternative acoustic rock duo consisting of sibling band-members Catie and Kevin Waczek and is based out of their hometown San Diego, California. With only Catie on guitar, Kevin on drums/percussion, and their two powerful voices, the duo packs a punch.
Before their official formation in March 2017, the two have performed numerous times together under Catie’s solo project "Catie Ryan." They have opened for The Heroes, performed at the Del Mar Fair, Lestat’s, The Comedy Show, The Loft, Relay For Life, and many community fairs and charities. Catie released a self-titled EP in 2013 and a music video for Curved Pinkies, which amassed 5K views since its release on Jan 31st 2017.
More recently, Kevin joined Catie in songwriting; the combination of their distinct styles of indie, folk, pop, and alternative inspired the official formation of the duo in March 2017. They have gigs lined up to showcase their new music and most notably opened for The Mowgli’s and Kina Grannis.
